Requirements and limits

Approved undergraduate degree completed by April 2027. Final-60-credit minimum: A- for Primary/Junior, B for Junior/Intermediate or Intermediate/Senior.
Junior/Intermediate: 4 full-year courses in one teaching subject; at least 2 completed with B average by application deadline.
Intermediate/Senior: honours degree; 6 full-year courses in first teaching subject and 3 in second. By application deadline, at least 3 and 1 respectively completed, B average in each.
Supplementary form, CV, two referees and transcripts required; international applicants may need English-language proof.

International applications are addressed; admission, tuition category and work authorization need individual assessment.

Important limits and details to confirm

BEd graduation alone does not certify a teacher; OCT certification is required for publicly funded Ontario schools.
This is the newly published 12-month 2027 model; older two-year descriptions do not describe this cohort.
Internationally educated teachers may apply directly for OCT assessment; a repeat BEd is not automatically necessary.

Keele campus, Toronto; placements in partner GTA school boards. Other locations have limited/conditional availability.
