External applicants apply through OUAC code RFN; current Trent students use the Transfer to Nursing form.

Requirements and limits

University transfer minimum 2.7 GPA/70% over the last 10.0 full credits.
Biology, chemistry, mathematics and English prerequisites: university minimum 60%, or accepted secondary/college equivalents. English-course waiver may apply after a year of full-time English-medium university.
Introductory psychology 1.0 full credit, plus 2.0 credits at 1000 level and 1.0 at 2000 level. Psychology admission waiver depends on upper-year transfer credit.
Calendar excludes those with RN registration/equivalent in Canada or internationally, and says the route is not structured for completed physician education.

RPN articulation and the George Brown bridge are separate routes. Confirm individual prerequisite waivers.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) (mixed aid, conditional external lead): Conditional OSAP lead; see shared funding record.

Ontario Learn and Stay Grant (grant, provider published): Trent explicitly includes full-time compressed BScN at Peterborough. Ontario citizen/PR/protected-person residency rules and Eastern Region service commitment apply. Direct education costs only; unmet conditions can convert funding to a loan. Applications from 2026–27 onward, not retroactive earlier years.
