Requirements and limits

  • Obtain a CASW assessment showing equivalence to at least a CASWE-accredited BSW and arrange direct delivery to the College. WES/ICAS alone is not accepted for this graduate stream.
  • CASW needs university-sent primary-degree records, course descriptions and field-placement information including hours, supervision and evaluation. Its academic assessment does not substitute work experience for degree content.
  • Where academic qualifications are over five years old, demonstrate social-work practice within the last five years or competence satisfactory to the College; supervision or other conditions may be imposed.
  • Meet English/French fluency, suitability/conduct requirements and provide a vulnerable-sector check dated within six months of the application.

  • Related degrees or non-equivalent results may need a separate equivalency application, whose eligibility is not established here.
